Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>A control section is an individual segment of on-system, state-maintained highway used to uniquely identify that segment of roadway. Control Section numbers are assigned for the life of the roadway and generally do not change or move, regardless of improvements to the roadway. Currently, control sections are located geographically using linear referencing.
